Don't forget to photograph the preparations to your celebrations. You may not feel like pulling out the camera when you have flour all over your face, your frumpy clothes on and the house isn't clean yet. Those times with your family may be some of the most special memories, though, as you are preparing for your celebration. Once everything is set and in place, but before your guests arrive is a good time to pull out the camera, too. Your house and family are looking their best and you will have a great record to refer to next year when you try to remember which dishes you used to set the children's table or whether you used Great Aunt Sophie's center piece or Grandma Cora's.
